Question: New tow car

I've just exchanged my VW Toureg for a Vauxhall Insignia 2 litre Ecoflex. I know it doesn't compare build wise to the VW but I needed a car which is a more fuel efficient and the Insignia fitted the bill.
My question is are there any happy campers out there who have towed with the Insignia and how do you rate it as a tow car.
Regards
Ray??

This is probably no help at all, Ray, but you did help me so here's just a comment.
I've just swapped my Saab 9-5 2.3 Estate (187,000 miles and 2001!) for a Volvo XC60.
My advice is give it a bit of time! The Volvo is very economical, packs a real punch with 215hp, but I wish I was still driving the Saab! However, the Volvo is growing on me - ever so slowly.
Can they fit a proper handbrake, do you know!
Lots of luck with the new car!

Hi Brian, I know what you mean about the handbrake. The Insignia has an electric handbrake and its a weird experience and takes time to get used to.
I very much doubt you can get an after market brake lever fitted.
I suppose its progress like having no spare wheel nowadays.
Regard
Ray
