Very annoyingly the windows on my caravan have stuck. Does anyone know how I could release the perspex from the rubbers or has anyone had the same issue? Any ideas much appreciated.

Stole this from another site!!

The answer is very gently. Try using a silicon based spray (furniture polish will do). Spray the rubber from inside the caravan and gently run your finger round the seal allowing the polish to penetrate between the window and the seal itself. Now unlock the window and gently ease the window open from the bottom. It might be easier doing this from the outside by pulling the window open at the bottom. Once you have opened the windows, clean both the window and rubber seal with warm soapy water. Once the seal is dry, spray some silicon on a cloth and then wipe round the seal. This should stop the window from sticking again.

Hi there, had actually done just about exactly what you said to get windows open. Touch and go but managed to get them sorted. However thank u very much for silicon advice to keep them from resticking. Will do that asap as really don't want that to happen again. Thanks Posted by Tim Highworth on 12 Mar 2013

Interesting post from Phil with which I would agree with up to putting silicone on window rubbers, this will just make the problem worse. I always treat window and door rubbers with a trade only product so can't realy recommend that. However if you follow Phils post up to putting the silicone on you should be ok, just make sure you regularly open the windows
