I took up knitting & crochet this year as an antidote to a busy working day. I fell into Yarn Bombing as I was looking on the WWW one day, looking for patterns and was hooked, so if anyone comes across small knifed or crocheted flowers on campsites, generally on the hedges or trees and the loos, it is my own mark of respect for that particular site and is an indication that we will return. Recently is was signed-off work with severe anxiety-related depression, which is a debilitating condition as you have no desire to do anything. As I am such a busy person who is always on the go and out and about, I was soon experiencing cabin fever, but I was also becoming agoraphobic too, out came the wool, hooks and needles, iPad with Netflix, Amazon LoveFilm, SkyGo, BBC iPlayer and ITV Player all ready to stream films, box sets etc...and I began my recovery to normality. We have just come back from a week's campining and I found my Mojo whilst getting back to exploring and being out and about, but my wool etc came with me too, and I was able to add to the stash by visiting wool shops along the way. Gone are the days of these crafts being the bastion of grannies, they are now very popular and a great way to relax whilst chilling out site the tent too.
