Hi Has anybody been to Goape centres? Are they good? My son has gone on and on at me to go since he saw an advert on T.V! So thinking of taking my family. Also does anybody know of a good site to stay at nearby to one of the goape centres? Don't really mind where it is, as always happy to go to new places, but probably somewhere in UK below Birmingham. Thanks

Hubby and our 3 went to Go ape down by Exmouth and enjoyed themselves. Our youngest did struggle a bit as she is small for her age really and the height did cause slight problems but she loved it.

Hi, My son has been to the Go Ape at Haldon Forest in Devon they were safety conscious and everyone in my son's group really enjoyed it and would be keen to go again, a couple were nervous but were encouraged and helped to manage giving them a sense of achievement. This location is close to Dartmoor National Park which is stunning, I do not have experience of any sites myself but there are a good selection and someone else could probably help you with a recommendation. If you do go hope you enjoy it.

Just thought of another GoApe park at Margam Country Park near Swansea, have not been there but you could stay on the Gower Peninsula which has superb beaches. I did visit Hillend Caravan & Camping Park which is very close to Rhossili Bay - often voted one of the best beaches in surveys, although I did not stay there (pre caravan days) it looked good and had a lovely Cafe/Bar. Hope this helps. Posted by Pamela Bray on 26 Mar 2013
