At 886 metres, Pen y Fan is the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons. Pen y Fan being a very popular mountain ascent, you are unlikely to enjoy the views from the summit all by yourself; however the spectacular nature of the 360 degree panorama that will greet you, placing most of Wales at your feet, will make up for it. The breath-taking beauty of the Brecon Beacons National Park, the hills of mid-Wales, the fabled Usk Valley and even into South Wales: you'll rotate and rotate again with your jaw well and truly dropped.
