Hayling island is truly an island, surrounded entirely by sea and, as such, offers its visitors that fabulous feeling of getting away from it all. Connected to the mainland by a road bridge at Langstone and by a small passenger ferry, it's not difficult to reach but enough of an effort to mark your arrival as the start of peace, tranquility and relaxation - ahhh. Here you will find your ideal campsite or Hayling Island caravan park from which to explore this little gem of an island. With access to over 3 miles of beaches, Hayling Island camping is a sea-side affair, with sheltered waters providing a great location for watersports enthusiasts, those who like a swim and those who want to settle themselves on the beach and do very little else! Three of the main beaches have won the European Blue Flag Award; head to West beach which is particularly good for swimming as a huge sand bank creates a 'lagoon' which warms in the sun. Hayling Island is a walker's paradise: there is really very little need for a car, with every point on the island being within walking distance of whichever Hayling Island holiday park you choose to call home during your stay. The views of the Isle of Wight are spectacular, so pack a picnic, take your camera and head out for the day.
