Camping Near UK Attractions - less wallet pain

Fun needs to be had. It's a fact of life and just because we are currently existing in what people describe as 'hard times', 'the squeeze' and 'the (uggghh) age of austerity' doesn't diminish our need to punctuate life with smiles, laughter and a healthy dose of thrill and hedonism, however you choose to define those things. Kids are still having their childhoods; hens and stags are still planning parties to send their friends off into the nether world of post-marriage; families still need bonding time when cares and woes can be forgotten and infectious, impish smiles and downright abandonment can be digitally captured and stored for later perusal. Agreed?

So, the challenge becomes not whether to go but how to afford to go which is where camping comes in. It's already acknowledged (and scientifically proven, if statistical analysis is your thing) that camping increases our happiness and sense of well-being. Be it the closer connection with the great outdoors, the shedding of responsibilities, the novelty of living so simply or just the plentiful fresh air and sunlight, camping makes us smile. It's also far cheaper than any other form of accommodation - aha, birds and stones are coming together in a variety of useful ways here.

So, as champions of fun, smiling and all things camping, Campsite Chatter have done a bit of homework and created listings for camping near top UK attractions.

For adrenaline-seeking hedonists these Campsites near Alton Towers provide great access to the gut-wrenching, eye-ball popping aerodynamics of this world famous site. Or you could head to the coast to stay at one of these Blackpool holiday parks with ideal access to the icon of Blackpool Pleasure Beach where you can abandon yourself to being twisted, turned, flipped and whirled to within an inch of your life.

We have thought about families too. So that you can spread the joy of 'Are we nearly there yet' and 'I need another wee' over more than one day, avoiding the crack of dawn wake-ups and drive through the night returns-home, these Campsites near Legoland will provide a great base in which to relax for the weekend, extending the kids' smiles for a day or two longer and avoiding excessive hotel bills which can be such a pain in the wallet.

If its culture and history you are after, then our list of Stratford Upon Avon Campsites will place you nearby the birth and resting place of the so-called Millenium Man, Shakespeare, with all manner of celebrations and festivals relating to the contribution he has made to the culture and identity of the UK. All without the cost of expensive hotel rooms to make the cost of the trip untenable. Or perhaps you fancy a trip to historic Bath to visit the Roman Baths and Pumproom? These Campsites near Roman Baths will place you close enough to dip your toe into the history of this fascinating relic as well as enjoying the shopping and other attractions that Bath offers its many visitors.
