A symbol of Dartmoor, Haytor is a granite outcrop standing at 457 metres above sea level situated on the eastern edge of the National Park, whose typical 'avenue tor' outlook (where the land between two main outcrops of rock has been eroded) dominates the horizon from many a spot in South Devon.
