Richmond Camping

This jewel of a town, set at in the heart of North Yorkshire is known as one of the 'gateways' to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Its centuries-old buildings cluster around the Norman Castle built on the hill at the centre of the town, dominated by the magnificent castle keep. Base yourself at a Richmond campsite and explore this proud town, with its layers of history and eras of architecture; visit the large cobbled market place where the Church of the Holy Trinity is built and where the town's iconic Obelisk rises.

Walkers love Richmond. The beautiful river Swale runs through the town, providing great picturesque strolls and, slightly further afield, some ideal picnic spots.
