Rendlesham Forest Camping

Rendlesham Forest, in Suffolk, has been in the news on and off for the past 3 decades for a variety of rather diverse reasons! For some, the draw of Rendlesham is the fabulous walking, the cycling, the wild wood events and the activities for active kids needing to burn off some energy. With walking trails ranging from 'easy' to more challenging, there is something for everyone at Rendlesham. The two easy cycling trails are 6 miles and 10 miles long, providing a great opportunity for a family bike ride, without the challenge that often prevents youngsters from enjoying a longer cycling experience. For other visitors, the murky and somewhat disputed landing of a UFO in the 1980's has added another draw to the forest...and, when you are alone along one of the deserted forest tracks, the pine trees, fanning out for hundreds of meters around you in uncompromisingly straight lines, it's easy to feel the thrill of the possible, a pull of the maybe that UFO hunters have felt here for decades! There's even a 'UFO walking trail' through the forest...
