Each campsite is different, of course, but it is interesting to note that the majority of them reside in areas of considerable natural beauty, which is great because it means that the camping is likely to be fabulous too! Enjoy peaceful early mornings with a smile: you've got time to fit in an hour or two of detecting before the family stirs, rises and heads out for the day. That hour between the time your party arrives back and the evening shennigans start? Get your detector out and explore!Code of Practice . Of course , you'll introduce yourself to the campsite owner on arrival and find out exactly where you can detect. Of course , you will explore the ground carefully and replace any material, leaving the ground as you found it. Of course you'll avoid trampling crops, annoying the livestock and disturbing wildlife... and yes, (sigh) , should you make that find of a lifetime and discover the suburbs of some vast Saxon hoard, you'll dutifully inform the campsite owner and any relevant authorities of your discoveries.
