Now, this is not a particularly long-standing festival, the inaugural Bournemouth Air Festival having taken place in 2008, but it is HUGELY popular, with the news of the festival's success travelling fast! In its first year there were an estimated 750,000 visitors, which more than doubled in the second year and since 2008 it is estimated that over 8,000,000 people have been right royally entertained on Bournemouth's sea-front during this August weekend event. So, with Bournemouth being slap bang in the middle of one of the most enjoyed stretches of the UK coastline and knowing that campers are often looking for a centrepiece holiday experience or event, we have decided to pull the camping sites closeby the Bournemouth Air Festival into one listing, to make building your mini-break or summer holiday around the Bournemouth Air Show easy-peasy!

So, for those of us yet to be inaugurated in this particular summer festival, what can we expect? Well, the Bournemouth Air Show takes place over a long weekend in August each year, with a cochopany of exciting displays and evening events taking to the skies over Bournemouth, to the waves off Bournemouth's coast and on the city's many stages after dark. Apart from the night time music events, the festival itself is FREE - good news, everyone! At the Bournemouth Air Festival, looking skyward you can expect to see astonishing displays of flying artistry from great display teams like the Red Arrows and the RAF. On the ground and off the coast Bournemouth Air Festival offers you static and interactive displays from the Royal Navy and Army, as well as competitions and events taking place all along Bournemouth Sea Front. After dark each year the excitement hots up for the 'Night Air' festivities - ticketed music events with talent from across the UK and beyond.
