These campsites in Northumberland near dog friendly beaches offer ideal bases from which to explore this fabulous coastline. So many of the beaches along the Northumberland coast are dog-friendly year round that this area is ideal for uk camping trips with your dog well and truly at the heart of the action. Alnmouth Beach - this year-round dog friendly beach is great for romping on the sand or for access to the coastal path that runs both North and South. It's also a popular bird-watching location, so if you're dog can keep still (!) it might be worth taking your binoculars too. There are public toilets at the beach and shops are only a short walk away should you need supplies.

Bamburgh Castle Beach - this is a fabulous sandy beach for every member of the fmaily, including the dog. The facilities are good, with cafes and restaurants, plus access to toilets at Bamburgh Castle. With year-round dog access, swimming, fishing, surfing and wind-surfing can be enjoyed in the waves, with plenty of wild-life to spot from the shore.

Dog Friendly Beaches Northumberland



Beadnall Bay Beach - like many of the beaches along this stretch of coast, Beadnall is sandy with great water quality, so you can swim, surf and generally have fun in the water, although there is no lifeguard service. There are toilets with disabled facilities on the beach, with a cafe and ice-cream shop.

Longhoughton Steel Beach - If your dog likes to sniff among the rocks and dig in the pebbles as well as pounding across the dands, then this might be the beach for him! It's a remote stretch with no facilities on the beach itself, although the village of Boulmer isn't a long walk to the South.
