Woolacombe Surf

Popular with those wanting to learn to surf, with stand up paddle boarders and long boarders, the mellow open beach break at Woolacombe Bay is fast becoming one of the top surfing spots in North Devon. It's a picturesque setting with tonnes of space, the vast beach running for miles. For those surfers who need to keep their families happy, Woolacombe is an ideal destination for family fun. Your slipping off into the waves for a while (!) isn't likely to be noticed quite as much by those left behind, with so much for them to occupy themselves with too.

If you want to learn to surf or to brush up on your skills, there are a number of companies offering Woolacombe Surf tuition in the village and there is also tuition provided at Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks Golden Coast site which has its own state of the art Surfing Simulator. For those who just fancy some body-boarding, a great way to bond with family members, the surfing Woolacombe offers, with its active lifeguard service, is ideal.
